Director of Sales

About the Role: This is a unique opportunity for a rising executive to lead sales for a private-equity backed SaaS company. Depending on your experience, this role could be changed to a Vice-President of Sales level position.

We are seeking a driven leader with experience scaling channel sales and inside sales at a B2B SaaS or communications company. FluentStream is rapidly-growing and desires to continue our consistent track-record of double-digit organic revenue growth.

Reporting to FluentStream’s President, you will be an integral part of the company’s leadership. You will be personally accountable for achieving our organic growth objectives, including oversight of our direct, inside sales team and rapidly-expanding partner channel. You will be responsible for driving cost-efficient growth, accelerating our direct client acquisition efforts by hiring and coaching a team of inside salespeople, and, in addition, you will build our indirect channel sales program by fostering relationships with our distribution partners and growing the channel sales team. You will be responsible for maintaining our exceptional level of personalized client service while scaling the team to support thousands of clients and $100M in ARR.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and drive overall sales strategy to develop and close new business
  • Lead the inside sales team (SDRs and AEs) and manage the sales process from lead generation to client acquisition
  • Implement and execute an indirect go-to-market program aligned with our growth objectives. Generate pipeline and sales through joint account planning and prospecting with partners. Plan and lead partner marketing and field activities
  • Architect a high-achieving sales team through hiring, training, inspiring and coaching
  • Plan and execute against sales quotas and department goals
  • Coach direct reports regarding key account strategies to drive closure
  • Report on sales activity and forecast to FluentStream’s leadership team
  • Directly participate in closing deals with target accounts and partners
  • Maintain a personal presence and be visible to partners, clients and all employees
  • Establish strong relationships and partnerships across departments and collaborate on solutions that remove roadblocks to sales execution and growing revenue
  • Build enablement and engagement programs that empower channel partners and sales reps to expertly position and sell FluentStream’s services
  • Refine and continuously improve our sales approach, benchmarks and objectives to support high-performance standards, pipeline metrics, and sales velocity. Use data to measure, drive, and improve high-velocity sales processes

  • Experience leading commercial teams of 10+ employees in a hyper-growth SaaS company
  • Proven record of successfully building sales teams that consistently exceed high expectations in a high-velocity, high transaction volume environment
  • 8+ years of experience in sales
  • 4+ years of management experience at a B2B SaaS company
  • Experience defining long-term sales excellence vision aligned with company strategy including development of sales strategies for new customers, renewals and upsells
  • Must be able to analyze and evangelize data to refine sales processes, including SDR cadence management, outbound activity analysis, pipeline management, individualized coaching plans, and forecasting
  • Ability to develop long-term relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience leading both inside sales and indirect, channel sales teams
